The Oncology Department provides diagnostic and therapeutic care for adult patients suffering from cancer and supports patients and their families. The goal is to ensure access to the best cancer treatment, offer appropriate care, and anticipate the needs of hospitalized patients (bone marrow transplant, cell therapy, immunotherapy, etc.). Additionally, the Cancer Center coordinates cross-sectional activities dedicated to cancer issues between services and departments.
It includes 4 services (hematology, oncology, precision oncology, and radio-oncology) and is composed of about 300 employees.
The Hematology Service provides diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients suffering from benign or malignant blood diseases, whether hospitalized or outpatient.
The service is involved in various clinical and translational research activities, in cooperation with the University of Geneva, and is also involved in several cooperative groups: SAKK, EBMT, GRAALL, SFGM-TC, HOVON, CML German study group, CLL German study group, etc…
Job Description
You ensure, in collaboration with management, the care of hemato-oncological patients in a service that provides highly specialized medicine, notably as the Romandy Center for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
You coordinate practical activities, diagnostic activities, clinical, therapeutic, or surgical interventions for the patients entrusted to you.
You contribute to the training of internal doctors and medical candidates.
You participate in clinical research in the field.
Qualifications
You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent and recognized in Switzerland by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
You have advanced postgraduate training in hematology with knowledge of transplantation. If you hold a specialty title in hematology, it must also be recognized by the FOPH (MEBEKO) before starting the position.
Additionally, a cantonal practice license is required for candidates holding a specialty title before starting the position.
You have a particular interest in participating in clinical research in the field.
You possess the tools to handle unforeseen events and easily manage stressful situations.
You have a keen sense of organization and priorities. You demonstrate autonomy, great rigor, and professional conscience.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French on the Bulats/Linguaskill test is required.
