As the ward manager of the acute department, you are responsible for the professional and personnel management and work practically with your team. You support the staff in ensuring the smooth operation of the daily business and in the nursing care in the acute area.
As a regional hospital/acute hospital with emergency services, nursing home, and Spitex, we are responsible for the basic medical care of the Davos population and guests. Ward Manager Acute Department (80–100%)
Your area of responsibility
- Comprehensive nursing care of inpatient and outpatient patients
- Planning and documentation of the nursing process in close coordination with the qualified nursing staff
- Planning, coordination, and supervision of nursing in cooperation with the medical service and interdisciplinary services
- Responsibility for leadership, deployment, and development of directly subordinate employees, conducting regular appraisal interviews
- Support and advice to the nursing team in complex care situations
- Ensuring high nursing quality and continuous optimization of workflows
- Responsibility for the cost center of the acute department
- Regular participation in nursing management meetings
Your profile
- Completed tertiary-level training in nursing and several years of professional experience in an acute hospital
- Proven leadership experience or willingness to complete appropriate further training
- Enjoyment of a seasonally influenced operation with an intense phase in winter in the enlarged team, lively summer months, and quieter times in the off-season
- Strong communication and organizational skills, high social competence, sense of responsibility, empathy, and assertiveness
- Independent, innovative, and goal-oriented working style
- Respectful and appreciative interaction with the team as well as patients
- Excellent oral and written German skills
