These are your tasks
- Consultation and care of our residents regarding food
- Preparation and distribution of meals on the wards
- Execution of basic, maintenance, and intermediate cleaning in public areas and in the rooms of our residents
- Contributing to a neat, inviting, and homely atmosphere
- Compliance with area-specific quality assurance standards such as occupational safety, food, and cleaning hygiene
This is what distinguishes you
- Completed training as a domestic specialist or service specialist and/or solid professional experience in the field of domestic services (requirement)
- Respectful interaction with our residents and their needs
- Good oral and written German skills as well as understanding of the Swiss German dialect
- Independent, helpful, and quality-conscious working style
- Teamwork skills and sense of responsibility
- Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts

Burgerspittel offers a wide range of services for the elderly, especially in care and support at its two locations Bahnhofplatz and Viererfeld in Bern. Burgerspittel is an institution of the Burgergemeinde Bern. The Burgergemeinde Bern is a corporate community according to the Bernese cantonal constitution and commits itself to the public good according to its means. It promotes and works for the well-being of people in the areas of culture, nature, social affairs, and science. It finances this work for the public good from its asset income and employs around 800 staff members.
