Hotel & Gastro formation Switzerland is the social partnership-supported educational institution of the hotel and gastronomy industry in Switzerland and is committed on behalf of its three sponsoring associations GastroSuisse, HotellerieSuisse, and Hotel & Gastro Union to vocational education policy as well as initial and continuing education. Specialist Instructors in the Service Department (Part-time)
Hotel & Gastro formation Switzerland offers various training courses throughout Switzerland in the area of basic qualification. These courses are for employees without a professional apprenticeship certificate in the hospitality industry, for unemployed persons, or as an entry aid for recognized refugees into working life. In various courses, they learn the basics of the areas of kitchen, service, and/or housekeeping.
For our courses lasting from two to five weeks, we are looking for specialist instructors on a part-time basis with fixed-term assignments (no permanent employment).
Scope of duties:
• Planning, designing, and leading the lessons
• Conducting lessons in the service subject area and its work techniques, host awareness, active sales, attitude towards the profession and company, material knowledge, safety and accident prevention at the workplace, beverage and food knowledge, cash register and payment systems
• Conducting qualification discussions
• Supporting and motivating course participants
• Implementing internal quality standards
Requirements:
• Open, communicative personalities with a high professional ethic
• Willingness to work with multicultural learning groups
• Enjoyment in teaching the basic skills of the service department to groups with mixed prerequisites
• Solid professional education and training (federal professional examination or federal diploma in the service department)
• At least SVEB 1 or equivalent training
• Flexibility, as the course implementation can sometimes only be decided 5 working days before the planned date.
