About the job
The city of Rorschach and the municipality of Rorschacherberg jointly operate the Youth Family School Office. In addition to family counseling and open youth work, the school social work of both schools is also located in this office. A total of 6 employees work in the school social work sub-area.
The current school social worker looks after the Pestalozzi and Mariaberg school buildings. At her own request, she will reduce her workload at the end of the 2025/2026 school year and will be exclusively active in the Pestalozzi school building from August 2026. This will free up a 30% position in school social work in the Mariaberg school district. The role includes supporting three primary classes (1st–3rd grade) as well as three kindergarten classes. Therefore, we are looking for a

What you bring with you.
- Degree from a university of applied sciences in social work or social pedagogy, preferably with CAS in school social work
- Professional experience in school social work or counseling skills with children, adolescents, and adults
- Experience working with systemic, solution-oriented approaches
- Empathy and initiative
- Resilience, teamwork skills, and flexibility
