Description
Streptococcus pneumoniae, is a major cause of death globally, particularly from pneumonia and meningitis and treatment is complicated by antibiotic resistance. The postdoc will use in vitro assays including monitoring bacterial growth, adherence to respiratory epithelial cells and biofilm formation to determine the effectiveness of a novel therapeutic.
Requirements
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant topic, experience working with Streptococcus pneumoniae, be available to start by 1st November and a high motivation to succeed.
