Head of External Relations

• Overall responsibility for political stakeholder management and positioning the company at the interface between business, politics, and society
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the "External Relations & Public Affairs" team
• Strategic advice to the Board of Directors and Executive Management on political issues and regulatory developments
• Development, control, and implementation of effective external relations and public affairs strategies
• Responsibility for public relations and media communication in the context of political and regulatory topics
• Responsibility for developing sustainable alliances and cooperation models to promote reliable, efficient, and future-proof framework conditions
• In-depth knowledge of federal organizations as well as pronounced security policy understanding for professional positioning in the political environment
• Maintenance and expansion of a resilient and sustainable network of relationships with political decision-makers, administrations, associations, industry organizations, and other relevant stakeholders
• Preparation of complex topics for political and administrative stakeholders as well as ensuring consistent, credible, and targeted political communication

• Completed university or college degree, ideally in humanities, communications, law, or economics
• Many years of professional and leadership experience in political stakeholder management and dealing with political institutions; combined with communication or journalistic experience
• Sustainable network of relationships in politics, administration, and business as well as high competence in building and maintaining strategic stakeholder relationships
• Strong ability to politically classify complex content, prepare it understandably, and convey it convincingly
• Excellent German skills at native level as well as solid knowledge of a second national language; very good English skills. All language skills are expected in spoken and written form
