About the job
The Police Safety and Tactics Service (SÉTP) is responsible for high-quality training and advanced courses tailored to the needs of all employees of the Bern Cantonal Police. It promotes the acquisition, development, and maintenance of essential skills in areas such as shooting, police tactics, personal safety, Basic Life Support/tactical engagement medicine, order service, and Bike Police. The goal is to provide practical means for the correct and professional execution of daily tasks.
Your tasks
Your main tasks are as follows:
- Provide training and advanced courses in specialized areas such as shooting, personal safety, police tactics, Basic Life Support/tactical engagement medicine, order service, and Bike Police
- Teach at the police schools in Hitzkirch and Ittigen, as well as in other police branches
- Deliver advanced modules within the Bern Cantonal Police and the four regional police forces
Your profile
- Federal police officer certificate; several years of experience in police service and proven activity as a trainer
- Passion for teaching and willingness to pursue further training in adult education (FSEA 1), in the five specialized areas, and to obtain a category D1 driving license
- Above-average social and personal skills; loyal attitude in line with the image of the Training + Advanced Education department
- Analytical mindset, ability to work independently, structured and responsibly
- Strong team spirit characterized by a cooperative and appreciative approach; good oral knowledge of French
