Job description
La Plaine Residence is part of the Mandement nursing homes and houses 92 residents. We support people of AVS age who have lost autonomy and sometimes suffer from psychological or psychiatric disorders. Our philosophy is based on multidisciplinary collaboration.
As such, we are looking for a permanent animator at 70% starting July 1, 2026.
In collaboration with the animation team and under the supervision of the service manager:
- Participate in welcoming and integrating the resident into their living environment, according to allocated resources and with full fairness
- Support residents in developing their life projects as closely as possible to their needs and expectations and assist them in daily life activities and during collective events
- Contribute to maintaining/developing quality support for residents with cognitive disorders
- Bring the animation project to life through weekly, monthly, and annual activity proposals
- Actively engage in continuous improvement and quality
- Participate in writing the program as well as various documents and communication materials of the service (program, posters, photos, etc.)
Profile sought
- Experience in nursing homes and psychogeriatrics, minimum 2 years
- Continuing education in assistance, support, and communication with elderly people highly desired
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Relational skills, dynamism, and autonomy
- Respect, listening, and empathy, without judgment towards the resident and their family
- Ability to show patience and flexibility
- Organizational skills and ability to synthesize
- Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Initiative, creativity, and observation skills
- Good stress resistance and ability to manage priorities
