Head of outpatient prebilling within the Department of Medicine
In order to strengthen its administrative and financial activities, the Management of the Department of Medicine of the Lausanne University Hospital is looking for a head of outpatient and inpatient prebilling, departmental RELACT referent, at a rate of 80% to 100%, for a start date of July 1, 2026.
Context
CHUV is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
The Management of the Department of Medicine supports the department in achieving its strategic objectives by ensuring the administrative and financial coordination of the services attached to it. It ensures the proper conduct of clinical and academic missions in an institutional environment that is constantly evolving, particularly in connection with new tariff models.
Mission
- You organize and manage the entry of outpatient and inpatient services within the framework of the new TARDOC tariff system and outpatient packages
- You provide training and support to the various stakeholders (doctors, nurses, secretariats, etc.)
- You ensure the updating of outpatient service entry catalogs, in collaboration with the department services, the IT contact person, and the GAP (Patient Administrative Management)
- You participate in departmental projects related to outpatient and inpatient prebilling
- You contribute to departmental management control, notably through monitoring deadlines, quality, and completeness of data entry.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a SwissDRG medical coding certificate, or an equivalent qualification related to the function
- You have at least 10 years of experience in a nursing role or 5 years as a medical coder or in an equivalent function
- You master institutional IT tools, including AXYA, SAP, SOARIAN, RELACT, ULTRAGENDA, and COGNOS
- You have good knowledge of medical specialties as well as Swiss outpatient and inpatient tariff rules
- You possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills
- You master French at a C1 level
- You demonstrate very good communication and problem-solving skills, appreciate teamwork, and have a strong sense of service.
