About the job
For our ICT and Infrastructure department, we are looking for a Team Leader IT Operations and Support 80 - 100 %.
Do you want IT that not only runs smoothly but also noticeably drives the business forward – and do you enjoy taking responsibility? Then this role could be perfect for you.
In this position, you lead a small, motivated team and are the central hub between IT, service areas, and internal and external partners. Together, you ensure a stable and secure operation of our business applications and continuously develop them. At the same time, you actively drive automation and digitalization and take the lead on important IT projects – from the initial idea to successful completion. You work closely with the central group ICT and ensure that local requirements are optimally aligned with group-wide standards and services.
You think customer-oriented, communicate clearly and understandably – even to non-IT people – and keep an overview even when things get hectic. With your analytical, structured, and at the same time pragmatic approach, you actively contribute operationally, gladly take on responsibility, and shape a modern team culture where collaboration, openness, and willingness to change are lived.
You are responsible for the following main tasks:
- Leadership, coaching, and development of employees as well as promotion of a strongly service-oriented culture
- Active role as a sparring partner for service areas, ensuring customer proximity and aligning IT services with business needs
- Responsibility for the reliable operation of business applications and selected IT services
- Further development of IT and support processes for digitalization, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Planning and management of IT projects from initiation to successful completion, considering scope, time, budget, quality, and communication
- Responsibility for incident and request management as well as managing escalations in daily business
- Active participation especially in the automation and integration of processes and interfaces (e.g., with MS-SQL, .NET, Power Query, Webservices)
- Organization of training sessions as well as creation and maintenance of IT documentation
- Planning and control of IT costs as well as management of internal and external service partners including contract management
- Implementation of information security and data protection including creation and maintenance of policies and concepts
What you bring:
- Solid education in business informatics, computer science, or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience as well as leadership experience
- Experience in managing IT projects, ideally related to business applications and ERP systems
- Ideally good knowledge of SQL and experience with databases; enthusiasm for data analysis and automation
- Very good oral and written communication skills in German
- High personal responsibility as well as a reliable and solution-oriented working style
- Strong willingness to also get involved operationally
Look forward to:
- A responsible leadership role with real scope for design
- A committed team and supportive colleagues in a professional working environment
- Modern employment conditions (40 h/week, at least 25 days vacation, coverage of KTG and UVG contributions, UVG supplementary insurance, own employee pension fund, etc.)
- Internal training and development opportunities, as well as attractive employee discounts
- Flexible working hours, possibility for home office, and a centrally located workplace in Zurich Oerlikon (approx. 5 minutes walk from Zurich Oerlikon station)
