The North Vaudois Psychiatry Center (CPNVD) of the Psychiatry Department of the CHUV is looking for certified nurses at a rate between 80% - 100% for a start date of January 1, 2026.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
The North-West Adult Psychiatry Service (SPANO) is one of the services of the Psychiatry Department. It provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary care to anyone suffering from mental disorders and residing in the north and west of Vaud.
The service teams work in a multidisciplinary manner to promote comprehensive care. The units therefore include doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, etc.
The adult hospital units include a 24-hour emergency service and several units able to receive patients with any psychiatric pathology.
Mission
- You support patients in life crisis situations by promoting appropriate active listening and helping relationship measures, and by administering medication treatments
- You support and assist patients in daily life activities
- You participate in the development of care projects by observing symptoms and keeping the records up to date
- You contribute to an interdisciplinary approach to care and teamwork.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent title as well as recognition from the Red Cross for staff certified abroad, mandatory)
- You have authorization to practice in the canton of Vaud or have submitted an application to the Vaud Public Health Service
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, can adapt quickly, and manage stress well
- You demonstrate dynamism, have good analytical skills, and enjoy precise work
- You master common computer tools (MS Office)
- Your knowledge of institutional software is an asset (Axya, Soarian, etc.).
Depending on the candidate's experience, the salary class ranges between 8 and 9.
