The St.Gallen municipal utilities (sgsw) are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly the region in the supply of energy, water, and fiber optics. With the ERP system project "Abacore," we are taking an important step towards a future-oriented, powerful software solution for the central planning, control, and management of all company resources. This further increases the importance of central controlling. To strengthen the team in the Finance and Services area, Controlling department, we are looking for a

Controller – Central Controlling & Reporting (m/f/d) 80 - 100%

Your responsibilities:

• You participate in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, working with Abacus, DeltaMaster, and BI.
• You ensure consistent reporting on cost centers, cost units, and projects, thereby creating transparent decision-making bases for all business areas.
• You coordinate and prepare the overall budget (investment and profit and loss statement) including planning guidelines and scheduling.
• You prepare periodic management reporting and continuously develop it further.
• You maintain and develop the controlling master data in the ERP system.
• You design and implement new reports in collaboration with Abacus and BI specialists.
• You support the establishment and operation of a central control center in the sense of a "Single Source of Truth."

Your qualifications:

• You have a business administration education or further training with a focus on controlling or finance (HF, FH, or university).
• You bring at least three years of experience in controlling, ideally in an infrastructure or public environment.
• You have a high IT and system affinity and work confidently with ERP systems as well as BI tools like DeltaMaster or Power BI.
• You have a strong affinity for data analysis, quickly recognize correlations, and present them understandably.
• You work in a structured, independent manner with high initiative and enjoy actively shaping and further developing controlling processes.
• You communicate clearly, prepare even complex issues appropriately for the target audience, and enjoy cross-departmental collaboration with specialist departments (IT and management).
• You convince with an open nature, teamwork skills, and appreciate appreciative collaboration.
