About the job
We conduct technical investigations and cause clarifications in accidents of all vehicle categories. As a competence center for heavy traffic "Mösli" commissioned by the federal government, we control freight and passenger traffic, carry out operational checks, and focus on hazardous goods, special waste, and agricultural traffic. This is complemented by professional advice and approval checks.
Your tasks
As a mechanic in the Technical Traffic Unit (TVZ), your tasks include the following:
- Inspection and investigation of vehicles including digital data after traffic accidents and seizures in compliance with legal requirements
- Conducting technical inspections of vehicles and equipment as well as traffic controls
- Evaluation and analysis of driving data recordings and digital data carriers
- Use of specialized measuring and testing devices (e.g., Competence Center Heavy Traffic Mösli) to determine the condition of vehicles
- Preparation of reports, notifications, and photo documentation as well as professional advice to internal and external bodies
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in the automotive trade (e.g., mechatronics technician) and ideally further training as a diagnostician or automotive expert; willingness to further train as a police security assistant SPI or police officer with a federal specialist certificate and completed basic training in the automotive trade
- Independent, structured, and reliable working style
- Customer- and service-oriented, resilient, and team-capable personality with quick comprehension
- High flexibility for assignments outside regular working hours
- Precise written expression and good IT skills (especially MS Office)
