Job opening for a Social Work outreach position within the TSHM Vernier team, a 50% sociocultural animator - fixed-term contract from October 1 to December 31, 2025.
Job Description
- Ensure prevention, proximity, and mobilization work with young people who are socially disconnected and/or seeking social integration, through various means such as: street work, individualized follow-ups, XP internships, sports, supported management of premises, etc.;
- Contribute to the development of projects promoting social cohesion within neighborhoods;
- Based on observed social issues, participate in the development of collective work, in close collaboration with other social workers, existing social structures, and municipal authorities;
- Actively participate in the conceptualization and implementation of community actions and targeted actions on priority issues or populations;
- Actively participate in field actions (rounds, XP internships, etc.);
- Assume management/organizational tasks related to activities and objectives set by FASe and the municipalities.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or an equivalent university degree (education sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ethnology / State Diploma of Specialized Educator (DEES), State Higher Diploma of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DESJEPS) with SEFRI recognition for the last two diplomas);
- Significant experience in TSHM desired, knowledge of the characteristics of the youth population, strong interest and demonstrated skills for working with adolescents/young adults;
- Good knowledge and practice in project methodology, collective actions, and situation diagnosis;
- Skills for network work: collaboration with social actors of the concerned municipalities and canton, and proximity institutions; good knowledge of the Geneva social network;
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with the team, coherently and respectfully with other social workers from the sector and neighboring municipalities and the Institution’s requirements;
- Initiative, creativity, sense of responsibility;
- Good experience in organization and planning, managing priorities and emergencies;
- Ability to write reports, use common computer software, rigor, and respect deadlines.

- Availability for irregular hours (notably evenings and weekends);
- Salary according to the Geneva State salary scale: maximum class 15;
