Quality Assurance Manager of the Forensic Toxicology Unit at CURML
To complete its team, the Forensic Toxicology Unit (UTCF) of CURML is looking for a quality assurance manager, at a 60% activity rate, for an indefinite contract.
Context
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Forensic Toxicology and Chemistry Unit (UTCF) is part of the Romand University Center of Legal Medicine (CURML). Its main missions are to provide precise and reliable toxicological analysis results, to ensure academic teaching of forensic toxicology as well as specialized training in police schools, and to conduct research and development in forensic toxicology. The UTCF also handles analyses aimed at assessing exposure to various substances in professional and domestic contexts.
Mission
- You ensure quality control in daily activities, notably coordinating and implementing continuous improvement of quality management system procedures, and maintaining communication with the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) and other national authorities (FOPH, Swissmedic)
- You ensure and develop the quality management system
- You manage appropriate staff training related to the quality system, plan and organize quality meetings and the internal training program
- You maintain interaction with internal and external partners (CURML, CHUV, HUG), and draft information documents in collaboration with the Unit Management
- You participate in national or international institutional meetings related to quality in forensic toxicology.
Profile
- You hold a master’s degree in life sciences or an equivalent qualification
- You have received training in quality systems and internal auditing (CAS, MAS, continuing education, etc.)
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a laboratory with an established QMS
- You master common IT tools and are comfortable using computerized solutions for document management
- You possess knowledge of the legal context of laboratories and the Swiss accreditation system, which is an asset
- You are organized and proactive, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and are able to work independently while enjoying teamwork.
Depending on the candidate’s experience, the salary class is between level 10 and 11.
