Head of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) 80-100%

As Head of HSE, you are responsible for ensuring, implementing, and continuously improving the environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs in our company. You ensure compliance with legal regulations, internal policies, and international standards and promote a sustainable safety and environmental culture.

• Strategic responsibility for HSE throughout the company in alignment with corporate goals and management.
• Implementation and further development of the HSE strategy based on legal, normative, and internal requirements (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Advising and supporting management on all HSE topics as well as coordinating with authorities and internal departments.
• Promoting an HSE culture through training, awareness, and consulting of managers and employees in occupational safety, health protection, environmental responsibility, and sustainability.
• Conducting risk analyses, HSE audits, and hazard assessments (including creating action plans and their implementation).
• Ensuring an efficient emergency and first aid organization (including reporting, preventive measures, and training).
• Supporting and assisting sustainability processes and tools (e.g., Ecovadis, CO2 monitoring).
• Monitoring KPIs, preparing HSE reports, performance indicators, and sustainability reports.

• Several years of professional experience in an HSE role, ideally in a food production environment.
• Degree in environmental or engineering sciences or comparable education.
• Further training as a safety specialist EKAS or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards and Swiss laws (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EKAS guidelines, Swiss environmental and occupational safety law, etc.).
• Communication and presentation skills, experience in project management.
• Structured and solution-oriented working style and hands-on mentality.
• Fluent German and English skills.
