The Security Directorate employs around 5,000 staff. The Security Directorate includes the Zurich Cantonal Police, the Road Traffic Office, the Migration Office, the Office for Military and Civil Protection, the Cantonal Social Office, the Sports Office, and the General Secretariat with the Passport Office, business permits and certifications, as well as the Appeals Department. 

We are looking for you as a committed reinforcement for our ICT team, located in the General Secretariat of the Security Directorate, immediately or by arrangement. As an experienced Senior Business Engineer, you help to further optimize the services of our directorate for the benefit of the population, companies, and authorities, and to simplify, automate, or consistently digitize internal processes involving all administrative levels.

Your tasks

• Analysis and design of business, process, data, and system structures taking into account legal, strategic, and technical requirements 
• Consulting and methodological support of digital transformation in the offices
• Coordination on the one hand with subject matter experts (including enterprise architects and information security specialists) and on the other hand between business areas and implementation and operational partners (including external suppliers, Office for IT)
• Independent, structured preparation of statements and assessments of concepts and project results
• Representation of the directorate in cantonal committees and projects
• Deputizing the ICT manager in professional and organizational matters

Your profile

• You have a university degree (Master or equivalent) in Business Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field. Additional qualifications in Digital Transformation or Enterprise Architecture are expected 
• You have several years of experience in business and organizational development, preferably in large companies or public administrations
• You have solid knowledge in business analysis, process design, data management, project management, and experience with agile work and project methods (including Scrum)
• You can communicate appropriately at the interface between ICT and the management and specialist levels
• Experience in personnel management is an advantage
