Company Description
A locally established institution firmly rooted in its region, the Arc Network offers comprehensive patient care. It includes two hospital sites located in Moutier and Saint-Imier, five Medicentres, and the Biel Medical Center (Medizinisches Zentrum Biel). Its care offerings are complemented by an ambulance network, two nursing homes, two radiology institutes, a center for physical and cognitive therapies, as well as a home hospitalization service. Thanks to its multidisciplinary expertise serving patients, the Arc Network provides high value-added medical services. With nearly 1,250 employees, it meets the medical and hospital needs of a population of about 80,000 inhabitants.
As part of the VIVA project, the Arc Network became the first fully integrated healthcare organization in Switzerland to offer a health insurance plan. The VIVA health plan is available to residents of the Jura Arc, ensuring optimal and coordinated care.
At the heart of this dynamic, the Biel Medical Center (CMB) fully embodies the values of accessibility, continuity of care, and coordination. A true primary care hub, it brings together a multidisciplinary team composed of general practitioners, specialists, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and care staff. Each patient is accompanied by a referring physician, ensuring personalized long-term follow-up.
The CMB stands out for its integrated approach, closely linked with partner hospitals and other entities of the Arc Network. It offers a wide range of services: medical consultations, outpatient emergencies, specialized care, pediatric follow-up, mental health, physiotherapy, wound care, dental medicine, and technical examinations (radiology, laboratory, etc.).
Thanks to its Walk-in Clinic, the CMB also meets urgent needs without appointments, from Monday to Saturday. It offers quick, smooth, and coordinated access to care, strengthened by the expertise of the Swiss Medical Network to which it has been affiliated since 2020.
Its VIVA general medicine practice complements this offering, providing insured persons of the VIVA health plan with personalized support integrated within the medical center itself. For the population of Biel, it constitutes a privileged entry point to all network services, while ensuring coherent, simplified, and sustainable medical follow-up.
A reference point for the Biel region, the Biel Medical Center is an example of modern local medicine, patient-centered, open to its territory, and committed to integrated care. To meet growing demand, we are looking for the following profile for a mixed position at the Biel site:
