Your Impact
- Support our clients with your broad actuarial expertise in the non-life insurance sector in various consulting projects and in auditing.
- Lead actuarial and interdisciplinary projects as the main contact person for our clients and team members.
- Lead the audit of the insurance technical provisions of our clients according to statutory and IFRS accounting as well as regulatory audits.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on non-life actuarial topics, including actuarial reserving, pricing, IFRS 17, risk capital modeling under SST/Solvency II, and the validation of complex stochastic models.
- Contribute your technical knowledge in interdisciplinary project teams to the modernization of insurance processes and systems.
- Develop new and existing client relationships and be present both internally at PwC and externally in the market to support clients and find new opportunities.
- Help to further develop PwC's actuarial practice and expand our offerings.
- Work in a diversified international team and receive regular coaching from colleagues and supervisors.
- Continuously develop yourself both technically and personally through internal and external training and education.
Your Skill Set
- You have a good university degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or natural sciences.
- You have 5-10 years of relevant actuarial professional experience in the non-life insurance market, either in a (re)insurance company or in consulting, preferably in Switzerland.
- You are a SAV actuary or have an equivalent foreign qualification.
- You have applied professional knowledge in non-life actuarial work, e.g., in reserving, pricing, risk modeling, validation, product development, or similar areas.
- Deep experience in non-life reserving or auditing is an advantage.
- Advanced (academic and practical) knowledge in statistics (such as a PhD in statistics or related fields - involvement in academic publications, etc.) is an advantage.
- A team player, open to new challenges, flexible, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary environment.
- Committed, team-oriented, and possess a conscientious, solution-oriented, and efficient working style as well as strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Data and IT affinity, knowledge in programming, financial mathematics, and accounting are advantageous.
- You have strong communication skills and social competence.
- Some initial leadership and project experience.
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English; French skills are an advantage.
