Floor Housekeeper Permanent Contract – M/F

The Floor Housekeeper ensures exceptional upkeep of rooms, public areas, and core zones of the establishment.
Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant General Housekeeper, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Constantly providing professional, friendly, and pleasant service
- Inspecting rooms according to hotel standards
- Supervising the housekeeping team, noting in the instruction book and participating in relocations
- Motivating employees in their work, encouraging and supporting them
- Helping team members if needed
- Ensuring communication between floor staff and management
- Transmitting necessary information to superiors for the smooth running of the department
- Being aware of the floors assigned by the Assistant General Housekeeper or General Housekeeper as well as various instructions (agenda/email/memos) and following up
- Informing floor staff of corrective actions to be taken when inspecting rooms and ensuring maintenance of standards related to floor staff
- Organizing the schedule of their sector based on the Opera report and adjusting it according to hotel priorities
- Always knowing the progress of their team
- Participating in the training of new department employees
- Ensuring proper upkeep of floors, offices, and equipment
- Replacing the evening supervisor’s leave twice a week
- Actively participating in the total quality approach, notably through improvement proposals
- Participating in an annual performance review with their superior
- Knowing the technical and emotional LQA standards and applying them daily through internal audits
- Committing to the quality of their service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, being smiling and calm at all times
- Respecting ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene and sanitary prescriptions
- Respecting department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Recognized hotel diploma or certificate is an asset
- Minimum 6 months supervisory experience
- At least 1 year experience in 4* and 5* hotel housekeeping
- Verbal and written mastery of the French language
- Good knowledge of English
- Attention to detail
- Ease with computer tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Opera system is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to focus on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
