The Role
Location: Zurich Offices - Hybrid (1-2 days per week)

This is a senior leadership role at the centre of PureGym’s European growth ambition. As Head of European Delivery, you’ll take full ownership of delivering our European property pipeline — translating strategy into on‑the‑ground results across Switzerland and Denmark, with scope to expand further. Leading multi‑market teams and external partners, you’ll oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, from new gym openings to refurbishments and estate upgrades, ensuring every investment is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Your leadership will directly shape the pace, quality and impact of PureGym’s expansion across Europe.
This is a hybrid working role, with 1-2 days in the office and willingness to travel Internationally as required.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide leadership for a multi-disciplinary team delivering all types of property investment project. Line manage Development Architects and Investment Delivery Managers across multiple European markets. Recruit, coach, engage and motivate the team to deliver:
Effective end-to-end delivery of each investment project, meeting time, cost, quality, and handover requirements.
Comprehensive due diligence for new sites, ensuring clear understanding of risks and opportunities by stakeholders.
Architectural designs that comply with internal standards and external regulations.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to overcome hurdles and mitigate risks, supporting delivery of the property pipeline.
Short, medium, and long term pipeline planning to ensure sufficient projects and resources to meet business targets.
Approval and management of budgets and capex within agreed values.
Informed decision making at key development stages through governance forums.
Timely acquisition of approvals and consents (planning, warrants, LTA, permits, etc.) through effective engagement with landlords and authorities.
Compliance with health and safety requirements for all on site activities.
Input delivery expertise into continuous improvement of gym formats, design standards, and ways of working for the whole function.
Positively represent the Group Property Development function internally and be an ambassador for PureGym externally.
Be recognised as a leader of the Group Property Development function.
The Person
Fluent in English and German is essential, ideally you will also have conversational ability in French.
Experienced property project management leader, delivering and overseeing a portfolio of 30–50 projects per year across multiple markets.
Degree educated or equivalent, demonstrating a strong record of continuous professional and personal development.
Operates confidently at senior level, translating strategy into action, resolving complex issues, and making sound decisions under pressure.
Process driven, with a focus on eliminating inefficiencies through lean methodologies.
Innovative problem solver, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Maintains a positive, “can do” attitude and fosters this mindset within the team through clear communication and effective motivation.
Proactive, flexible, and hands on, able to adapt quickly in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.
Strong communicator, able to deliver clear and concise messages on complex issues across the business.
Effective cross functional collaborator, working closely with Acquisitions, New Openings, Health & Safety, Facilities, Finance, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations to deliver the best outcomes for members and PureGym.
Proven ability to build strong relationships and manage the performance of third party contractors and advisers.
Commercially astute, with the ability to assess cost–benefit tradeoffs and make informed recommendations.
Represents PureGym and Group Property Development professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Willing to travel internationally.
