SUISA is the cooperative of music authors and publishers. More than 44,000 composers, lyricists, and music publishers have organized themselves in this company founded in 1923. SUISA ensures that music can be used publicly and that the rights holders are properly remunerated for these uses. Having sister companies worldwide, it collects royalties for more than two million authors and publishers. About 200 employees work at SUISA between Zurich, Lausanne, and Lugano.SUISA connects creators and users of music. The Client Department takes care of music users and reconciles their interests with those of the authors by granting licenses for the use of music.

- Strategic and operational responsibility for the Client Department
- Responsibility for licenses and negotiations with clients
- Market analysis and prospecting, acquisition of new clients
- Supervision of the management of usage declarations and tariff application
- Execution of payment and collection processes
- Responsibility for the central process, from licensing to distribution
- Interface with the legal department and tariff development
- Active participation in the overall strategic development of SUISA
- Cross-functional coordination and collaboration with all relevant entities
- Integration of operational and market-oriented perspectives in overall management
- Ability to design organizational changes in collaboration with the management team
- Co-responsibility for effective decision-making processes within the Management Board
- Representation of SUISA in external bodies and with relevant stakeholders, if necessary
Your profile
- Extensive experience in copyright law in the Swiss and international context
- Knowledge of licensing practices and tariff structures is a major asset.
- Strong negotiation skills with private clients and institutions
- Good IT knowledge (ideally also in the field of works databases and CRM systems) and a keen sense of digital processes and their optimization
- Very good business management knowledge and a taste for innovation and continuous optimization
- Good network in the Swiss cultural scene (and ideally also international)
- Very good language skills in German, French, and English and, ideally, in other national languages
- Proven experience in management (strategic and operational) and cooperative management style with good delegation skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and, ideally, proven change management skills
- Strong service orientation and decision-making skills
