Coordinate all technical activities related to one or more production lines and provide technical expertise on current issues, for example for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute plant knowledge to determine the best options during the site selection process (reducing investment costs for projects) and act as a key member of the project team for the introduction of new processes as a representative of the manufacturer and future user.
HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality):
- Proper operation of one or more production plants in accordance with applicable HSEQ rules and standards.
- Support a high HSEQ standard for documentation according to internal and external guidelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational standards and processes (HSEQ, OPEX).
- Proactively share extensive technical expertise with the team and participate in PRAs and WRAs as needed.
Production Support:
- Contact person and knowledge carrier for specialist process concerns
- Utilize extensive technical expertise and effective collaboration with site support services (e.g., Engineering, Process Technology, QC, getec) in problem solving and process improvements.
- Initiate, implement, and document continuous process improvements in production; coordinate production trials to support learning curves, capacity increase initiatives, and troubleshooting.
- Support the production chemist in instructing operating personnel before campaign start.
- Supervise a team of several operating personnel during plant cleaning before and after the campaign to ensure plant availability according to the established schedule.
- Create or assist in creating documents (e.g., operating instructions, cleaning instructions, work instructions, checklists, risk analyses).
- Responsible for creating and improving production and cleaning recipes in the process control system (DeltaV).
- Contribute to studies and work for the introduction of new products (site calculation, isometric validation, provision of plants for the project) as part of the project team and commissioning team.
- Coordinate the supply of raw materials, packaging, consumables as well as the declaration and shipment of products (intermediates and active ingredients) in accordance with the production plan together with planning and logistics.

- Excellent knowledge of plants and processes (technology, P&ID, chemical processes). At least 10 years of experience in chemical production as a chemical operator, chemical and pharmaceutical technologist, shift supervisor, process assistant, or in a comparable role.
- Good knowledge of HSEQ standards in chemical production
- Good knowledge in automation of chemical processes (experience with production recipes in DeltaV is an advantage)
- Good understanding of the basics and limits of various on-site applied risk analyses (process risk analysis, work area analysis, work permits, management of change).
- Good general knowledge of financial aspects of a chemical plant, continuous improvement, and change management
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, required; English or French skills are an advantage
- Proficiency in common computer programs (Office, Visio). SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to solve technical and operational problems in a structured manner
- Demonstrated leadership skills are an advantage
