HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
- Collaborate closely with vehicle manufacturers during the procurement phase, ensuring service requirements are fully integrated.
- Lead complex contract and pricing negotiations with existing and new suppliers, including the development and monitoring of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and implement cost saving opportunities across projects, leveraging whole life cost data to develop effective procurement strategies.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and deliver measurable savings, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare and present clear, data driven reports and recommendations for divisional management, supporting decision making.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Proven experience in procurement within the railway industry or a comparable technical sector, ideally in strategic roles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data driven decision making.
- Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively across departments and with several stakeholders.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment, maintaining focus under pressure.
- Proactive, results oriented mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Outstanding negotiation skills and a confident, persuasive presence in supplier and stakeholder interactions.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, driving optimization and efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, ensuring effective use in daily operations.
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
