As a technical specialist in the Mechanical Engineering department, you are responsible for the independent planning and coordination of maintenance activities on mechanical components (valves & pumps) as well as systems. In this role, you take on responsibility and enjoy the freedom and flexibility to contribute and implement your own ideas and solutions.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Processing of fault-related maintenance reports and deriving timely and appropriate maintenance measures
- Independent planning and coordination of planned maintenance work on mechanical components such as pumps, fans, compressors, valves, and systems
- Technical support of maintenance personnel on site
- Inspection and assessment of components
- Ensuring requirements regarding quality and workplace safety
- Creating and revising work instructions and technical documents
- Supervising external personnel during plant operation or shutdowns for revisions
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours (especially during revision shutdowns / fuel element changes)
Profile & Skills
- Completed vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) in mechanical engineering (polymechanic, automotive, agricultural machinery mechanic)
- Further education as a technician HF or engineer FH/HTL (or equivalent) in the field of mechanical engineering/maintenance
- Experience in maintenance of components (valves/pumps/systems) in the power plant sector, preferably nuclear facilities
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP-PM
- Good English skills in spoken and written form
- Independent, reliable, and flexible personality
