The city of Illnau-Effretikon - located between Winterthur and Zurich - offers attractive conditions for the approximately 17,800 inhabitants with its rural and urban areas, hamlets, centers, and the historic village of Kyburg.
The Socioculture Illnau-Effretikon operates the Effretikon Youth Center and Funky Illnau as leisure meeting points for young people and young adults with needs-oriented offers. In addition, we carry out participatory, social space-oriented projects with young people and run a counseling and info studio. As a second pillar, we are responsible for projects and offers for all age groups such as candle making, flea markets, or women's coffee and participate in city projects to enhance public spaces. As the Socioculture department, we value professionalism, continuous development, and networking. Besides needs and social space orientation, we adhere to the basic principles of openness, voluntariness, participation, and low-threshold access.
As maternity cover, we are looking for a committed, honest, and balanced personality from January 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026, as
- Support, counseling, and triage of adolescents and young adults in the youth center, studio, and mobile projects
- Collaboration in projects for other age groups and in city projects to enhance public spaces
- Interim management of projects in socioculture
- Participation in regular team meetings and supervisions
- Networking with other sociocultural players
- Have completed training in sociocultural animation, community animation, or a comparable field
- Bring professional experience in socioculture or several years of work in youth work
- Convince us with sociability, teamwork skills, creativity, and a high understanding of different life worlds
- Are also willing to work evenings and weekends
