Medical secretary for liaison psychiatry in the Emergency-Crisis Unit
The Liaison Psychiatry Service is offering a medical secretary position with an activity rate between 80% and 100% for its Emergency and Crisis Unit (PLIU). The workplace is in Lausanne.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Liaison Psychiatry Service (PLI) responds to requests for psychiatric care for patients hospitalized at CHUV. It also includes a psychiatric emergency reception unit for the population of Lausanne and its region, the management of the Vaud Psychological Unit (CPV), and a care unit for patients with eating disorders - the Vaud Anorexia Bulimia Center (abC) - with an outpatient/day center located in Lausanne and a hospital component at the St-Loup Hospital of the Northern Vaud Hospital Establishments (eHnv).
Mission
- You ensure telephone and physical reception of patients, visitors, and unit users
- You manage the secretariat of a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and psychologists
- You handle the administrative management of outpatient and hospitalized patients
- You participate in the rotation and replacements for receptions of the Liaison Consultation Unit, Emergency-Crisis Unit, and Vaud Anorexia Bulimia Center
- You perform various administrative tasks related to the unit.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee, or an equivalent qualification, ideally complemented by a medical secretary diploma
- You have at least 5 years of autonomous secretarial experience
- You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written; knowledge of a foreign language is an asset
- You have advanced skills in office IT tools; knowledge of the Filemaker database is an asset
- You are able to integrate into a multidisciplinary team
- You know how to adapt your communication to the context and demonstrate a spirit of mutual aid and collaboration
- You possess knowledge of the structures and functioning of state services and semi-public bodies related to the service's activity and psychiatry.
