Product Owner (100%)
We are a dynamic scale-up and have been revolutionising the Swiss e-commerce market for over 5 years. With our unique platforms — from Brands for Employees to Brands for Students and the MyAXA Deals Platform — we offer exclusive access to leading products and services to closed communities. In partnership with Twint, we also run the majority of Twint Superdeals.
With 80+ passionate team members across Europe, we generate a mid double-digit million turnover and have grown at an average of 70% annually. Awarded the SEF.Growth High Potential Label by the Swiss Economic Forum, we’re on an ambitious journey and you know what — we’re just getting started 🚀.
We are now looking for a Product Owner with a strong delivery focus and an agile mindset to take hands-on ownership of one of the most impactful areas of our business: our end-customer point of sales as well as our self-developed internal ERP. As one of your first missions, you will drive together with your team the biggest UX upgrade in our company’s history — a major milestone on our product roadmap.
This is a role for someone who brings solid product and agile experience, is eager to learn and invest in their growth. In the long run, this role can evolve into a Product Manager position — if that’s the direction you want to grow in. You’ll work under the guidance of our CIO, who currently also drives Product Management, learning the strategic side of product while owning the day-to-day delivery.
Place of work: Dällikon, Zurich area — Hybrid
Start: immediately or by arrangement
Your Mission
As a Product Owner you take hands-on ownership of the day-to-day product delivery — from refining requirements to shipping features and ensuring quality. You work on both the external customer experience across our platforms (e.g. Brands for Employees, Brands for Students, MyAXA Deals) and the internal operational efficiency of our self-developed ERP.
The strategic direction and product vision are set by our CIO, who currently also drives Product Management — your role is to translate that vision into actionable work, own the backlog, and ensure the development team delivers with precision and impact. You collaborate closely with design, tech, and business teams to shape, translate, and deliver experiences that delight our users and drive business success.
What makes this role unique? You're not only responsible for what the customer sees — but also for shaping the systems and flows that make great customer experiences possible in the first place. And as you grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more strategic responsibilities — with the potential to evolve into a Product Manager role in the long run.
Your Responsibilities
⚙️ Backlog & Delivery Ownership
- Own and maintain the product backlog — ensuring it is structured, prioritised, and aligned with the roadmap set by the CIO
- Translate the product vision and roadmap into epics, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria
- Lead agile rituals such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and backlog refinement
- Work closely with Frontend/Backend developers and QA to ensure smooth, on-time implementation
- Coordinate go-to-market planning and rollout activities
- Monitor delivery quality and ensure features meet user expectations and business requirements
🧪 Discovery & UX Collaboration
- Drive product discovery together with Product Designers and business units
- Conduct user research, interviews, and data analysis to understand user needs and test hypotheses
- Collaborate with design to ensure user-centric solutions — with a strong focus on usability and accessibility
- Bring user insights and feedback back to the CIO to inform strategic decisions
🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Align regularly with Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Business Operations, and Finance to gather input and share delivery plans
- Communicate sprint goals, progress, and blockers transparently to stakeholders
- Track and report on product KPIs to evaluate adoption and outcomes
- Ensure continuous feedback loops between users, business stakeholders, and the development team
🔄 Roadmap Contribution & Strategic Input
- Contribute to the product roadmap by providing delivery insights, user feedback, and technical feasibility input
- Support the CIO in prioritisation decisions with data and on-the-ground knowledge
- Participate in strategic discussions and gradually take on more strategic responsibilities as you grow
- Help identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions based on your daily product work
👑 Growth & Learning
- Learn the strategic side of product management from our CIO, who currently also owns the Product Manager role
- Develop your skills in roadmap planning, stakeholder management, and product strategy
- Over time, have the opportunity to grow into a Product Manager role — taking on increasing ownership of vision, strategy, and cross-functional alignment
- Build deep domain expertise across our platforms and internal systems
- Contribute to shaping how the product function evolves within the company
Your Profile
- Experience in digital product ownership or a similar agile delivery role — you bring a solid foundation but are hungry to learn more
- Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) — certification is a plus, but hands-on experience matters more
- Good technical understanding that enables you to collaborate confidently with developers and the CTO
- Strong sense of user empathy combined with a practical business sense to balance user needs with company goals
- Ability to break down complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Understanding of internal operations and system logic — ideally with experience in backend/ERP-heavy environments
- Hands-on experience with tools like ClickUp and good Figma skills for optimal cooperation with your colleagues
- Strong communication skills — you can present clearly to stakeholders and collaborate effectively with the development team
- Willingness to invest in your own growth and take on increasing responsibility over time
- Fluent in German and English
The Team Around You
In this role, you report directly to our CIO, who currently also drives Product Management. He sets the strategic direction and product vision — and is your mentor and sparring partner as you grow into the product discipline.
You work side-by-side with a strong cross-functional team:
- CTO — your partner for technical feasibility and architecture decisions
- Product Designer(s) — your collaborators on UX, usability, and design
- QA Lead — ensuring quality across every release
- Frontend & Backend Developers — the team that brings your stories to life
You also collaborate closely with key business stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, and Operations — ensuring the backlog reflects both strategic goals and real customer needs.
