Maintenance Technician for Laboratory Equipment
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety at CHUV is looking for a Maintenance Technician for laboratory equipment at a workload between 80% - 100%.
Context
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety at CHUV (CIT-S) has as its main activities the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting within its extensive real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.
The 3 main missions of the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S):
- Construction and modernization: ensure the study and realization of architectural projects, as well as the renovation of technical installations.
- Operation: ensure the maintenance of all technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the infrastructures of CHUV and its affiliates. Guarantee the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for all medical, research, technical, and administrative activities.
- Protection and safety: ensure the protection of property and people.
Mission
- You coordinate the technical activities of the laboratory workshop at CLE
- You ensure the operation and corrective and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment and other general devices
- You assist and advise laboratory services in the proper use of devices
- You perform administrative tasks related to the function.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an electronics technician or automation technician or an equivalent qualification
- You have solid experience in industrial or hospital operation and maintenance with 10 years of required experience
- You have a good team spirit and a real willingness for self-training
- You master technical English
- You have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- You are familiar with the main office and professional IT tools
- You have analytical skills and the ability to propose improvements
- You hold a category B driving license.
