Job description
Job mission:
The site manager is an executive. He participates in institutional policy, contributes to the development of long-term strategy and the means to be implemented to achieve the objectives decided in collaboration with management. Responsible for recruitment and pre-selection of EMS staff (except executives), he manages teams, plans, organizes, and supervises in collaboration with his deputies the care, activity, cleaning, laundry-linen, and catering services. He participates in administrative tasks related to personnel management. He handles contact with suppliers and manages stocks. He supervises all events, activities, and even works within the establishment. He ensures compliance with and application of standards, protocols, and procedures in all areas under his responsibility. He acts in the interest of residents, clients, employees, and the company. He coordinates and guarantees the smooth running and quality of services in the care, activity, and hotel-intendance sectors.
Main activities:
According to directives and procedures defined by management:
- organize and participate in the reception, installation, and integration of the new resident and their family
- organize and participate in the resident's support and life project
- ensure management and follow-up of employee evaluations
- manage conflicts within the EMS
- ensure selection and recruitment of new EMS employees
- conduct necessary interviews with staff and, delegated by management, disciplinary and/or dismissal interviews
- identify training and qualification needs
- train various sectors of intendance and care
- plan, organize, and control the arrangement and moving of premises
- plan, organize, and control intermediate and thorough cleaning of all premises
- plan, organize, and control maintenance of the building's exterior
- plan, organize, and control the progress of works within the building
- plan, organize, and control decoration within the establishment
- ensure daily maintenance of rooms, public areas, and common rooms
- plan, organize, and control maintenance and after-sales service of equipment and machines in his department
- participate in incident follow-up within the EMS
- participate in maintenance and sustainability of the building and fixed installations
- plan, organize, and control the circuit of private and institutional laundry
- plan and organize events
- guarantee quality dining room service
- promote a pleasant atmosphere within the establishment
- participate in waste management for the entire establishment according to environmental standards
- negotiate prices with suppliers and purchasing centers
- ensure purchasing and stock management of his department
- control compliance with laws, ordinances, and rules on beverage dispensing, hygiene, occupational safety, ergonomics
- participate in compliance with fire protection and safety concepts within his department
- perform professional and organizational tasks
- create and/or analyze processes and work services implemented in the departments
- respect the quality standards established within the establishment
- participate in continuous improvement of services and quality
- participate in conferences
- promote the services and offerings of his department to management
- participate in the quality of resident and family support
Profile sought
Bachelor in nursing or equivalent diploma
DAS "Health Institution Management" or equivalent diploma
5 years experience in geriatrics or psychogeriatrics
Experience in management, work organization, especially in interdisciplinary teams
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards in force within EMS
Good knowledge of computer tools, especially PEP and SADIES
