Job Description
- The PIM Product Data Specialist manually cleans, corrects, and enriches product data within the Product Information Management (PIM) system to ensure high data quality where automated solutions are not sufficient.
- The role supports the successful migration of legacy data and the ongoing operation of the PIM system by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance, thereby enabling the PIM system to function as a reliable single source of truth for corporate, business, regulatory, and downstream system needs.
Main tasks:
- Manually clean, correct, and complete product data in the PIM system that cannot be resolved through automated validation or cleanup processes.
- Analyse legacy and incoming product data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, missing values, and structural errors.
- Apply defined data standards, taxonomies, and governance rules when correcting and enriching product data.
- Collaborate closely with IT, Product Data Management, PIM Project Coordinator, and corporate/business stakeholders to clarify data issues and resolve ambiguities.
- Document recurring data quality issues and cleanup decisions to support process improvement and future automation
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for manual cleaning, correcting, and completing product data in the PIM system when automated rules or tools are insufficient, in line with defined data quality standards.
- Responsibility for analysing legacy and incoming product data and determining required corrections based on approved taxonomies, validation rules, and governance guidelines.
- Responsibility for applying approved data standards and classifications to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability of product information across the PIM system.
Qualifications
- Experience in manual data cleaning, correction, and completion of product data in PIM or master data systems, especially where automation is not sufficient.
- Strong ability to analyze legacy and incoming product data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, missing values, and structural errors.
- Solid understanding of data quality principles, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and structural integrity of product data.
- Experience applying defined data standards, taxonomies, and governance rules when correcting and enriching product data.
- Ability to work closely with IT, Product Data Management, PIM project roles, and business stakeholders to clarify data issues and resolve ambiguities.
- Strong documentation skills to record recurring data quality issues, cleanup decisions, and exceptions to support process improvement and future automation.
- High attention to detail combined with a structured, quality‑focused working approach.
