We're seeking an Instrument Scientist/Associate Scientist to join our Dose Formulation team at our facility in Lincoln, NE, located just south of downtown.
In this lab-based role, you'll execute critical tests to ensure compounds from our in-house pharmacy meet all required specifications for use in clinical research trials.
If you're driven by tight timelines and passionate about advancing human health, this could be the role for you. You'll leverage your expertise in analytical chemistry to ensure every dose is ready for delivery on schedule.

- Partner with senior scientists to develop chromatographic in support of dose formulation testing
- Complete tasks necessary for daily operation in the laboratory: execute analytical tests to ensure the accuracy, homogeneity and precision to support on-site compounding by the Celerion Pharmacy team.
- Preparation of standard calibrators, quality controls, mobile phases, and solutions for the purpose of testing dose formulations.
- Inventory and re-order parts when used for instrument maintenance and repair
- Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation aspects of studies
- Take part in instrumentation upkeep by observing the maintenance schedule and performing calibrations and preventative maintenance
- Communicate results effectively and in a timely manner to other associates
- Initiate, introduce, and implement new guidelines and procedures through the development of working instructions
- Optimize instruments to support ruggedness testing, production flexibility, and production
- Prepare documentation to share method development results with the sponsor
- Write detailed methodologies and provide feedback on Dose Formulation Protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and/or method development (highly preferred)
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Strong desire to learn new techniques with openness to cross-training opportunities
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed to meet testing timelines, including occasional long days, evenings and weekends
