The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, judiciary, and independent institutions.

For our growing organization in the IT infrastructure area, we are looking for a dedicated leader as Team Leader Cloud Infrastructure Services. You will take on the technical and administrative leadership of a team of cloud experts and report directly to the Group Leader Backend Services. Together, you actively shape the cloud strategy of the Canton of Zurich.

For our growing organization in the IT infrastructure area, we are looking for a dedicated leader as Team Leader Cloud Infrastructure Services. You will take on the technical and administrative leadership of a team of cloud experts and report directly to the Group Leader Backend Services. Together, you actively shape the cloud strategy of the Canton of Zurich.

Your tasks:

• Technical and administrative leadership of the Cloud Infrastructure Services team
• Responsibility for the design, operation, and further development of the Azure cloud platform
• Ensuring service delivery for cloud infrastructure and solutions
• Collaboration with internal teams (Security, Identity & Access, Business Services)
• Customer contact and moderation for the further development of services
• Maintaining IT customer relationships with directorates and offices
• Strategic collaboration in the extended department management
• Coordination with internal leaders and external service providers

Your profile:

• Completed studies in computer science or comparable education
• Several years of leadership experience in IT teams, ideally in the cloud environment
• Solid knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Bicep, Terraform, Ansible)
• Know-how in DevOps, agile methods, and ITIL (certification is an advantage)
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and assertiveness
• Independent, structured, and analytical working style
• Initial experience as a project client and interest in major incident management
• Very good German and English skills
