With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical center focused on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care.
Job Description
As part of the creation of a replacement pool for the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG), several positions are available.
As a nurse within the DRG pool, you autonomously and/or under medical delegation ensure the comprehensive and personalized care of elderly patients requiring acute care (including intermediate care and emergencies), awaiting placement, rehabilitation, and/or palliative care, presenting a wide variety of pathologies.
You work within an interprofessional team and coordinate the care services provided to patients. You also perform supervisory and teaching roles for trainees and new employees.
Finally, you contribute to the development of care quality and engage in professional reflection based on the analysis of nursing care practices.
Within your activity in the departmental pool, you are called upon to perform replacements according to needs and your assignment preferences, primarily in one of the following two geographic zones:
- West Pool: Loëx, Joli-Mont, and Beau-Séjour (Stern)
- East Pool: Bellerive, Trois-Chêne, and Beau-Séjour (Stern)
The specific nature of the pool's missions offers flexibility conducive to a harmonious balance between professional and personal life.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent nursing diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross.
Experience in caring for elderly people as well as additional certified training in elderly care, acute care, or palliative care are assets.
You are a person with great adaptability and a willingness to develop diversified skills by working in different care sectors of the Department.
You possess great rigor as well as a keen sense of organization, stress management, and prioritization. Furthermore, you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong interest in the care of elderly patients. You are also comfortable caring for elderly patients with cognitive and/or behavioral disorders.
You know how to be reactive and have excellent clinical situation analysis skills.
Thanks to your team spirit and communication skills, you work interprofessionally to unite all partners around a common vision to develop care projects for optimal patient and family care. You appreciate multidisciplinary teamwork and integrate well into new units.
Comfort with computer tools is necessary to successfully carry out this mission, as well as a very good knowledge of the French language.
