The Global Supply Chain Management team supports all business units in managing their own and METTLER TOLEDO's entire supply chain as a competitive advantage. This includes all aspects such as planning, procurement, order processing, and logistics, as well as the overall design of the supply chain and holistic process optimization. For our global operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee, we are immediately looking for a committed, strong negotiator as a Strategic Buyer 100% (all genders). In this role, you are responsible for the professional and targeted optimization of the assigned material and supplier portfolio, taking into account price and quality, in order to increase competitiveness and achieve sustainable cost optimization. In this function, you will perform the following tasks: You are responsible for the strategic procurement process of the assigned supplier and material portfolio and conduct price and contract negotiations. You are responsible for the selection, development, and management of suppliers considering technical and economic criteria. You are responsible for defining and implementing purchasing strategies, savings potentials, and improvement measures in supplier management. You analyze, evaluate, and monitor supplier risk management. You support as 2nd level support in delivery issues (escalation management) and work closely with research and development. Additionally, you participate in global and unit-specific projects.
