The City and Regional Library Uster has developed in recent years into an "Open Library" and a "Third Place" for the entire population. It is open 365 days a year from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and records around 200,000 visits per year. The library is well known far beyond the city limits for its innovation and enjoys a lot of sympathy in Uster.

Your main tasks

• Management of the City and Regional Library service group
• Leadership and development of a team of around 15 people
• Consolidation and further development of the library according to the performance mandate of the parliament
• Responsibility for the budget of 1.2 million Swiss francs per year
• Implementation of the performance contract with the canton of Zurich
• Participation in the management body of the Presidential Department
• Representation of the operation internally and externally

You bring with you

• Higher education and/or professional experience in the field of library, book trade or community
• Leadership, management experience in a comparable operation
• Customer orientation, good communication skills
• Goal orientation, commitment, perseverance, resilience
• Affinity for IT, technology and digitization
• Willingness to work irregular hours
