Computer Scientist

In the canton of Thurgau, all residents should feel safe. This is ensured by over 500 employees of the Thurgau Cantonal Police around the clock with a modern organization and in close contact with the population.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a

• Installation, support, and further development of the IT infrastructure (server, client, virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure)
• Ensuring smooth IT operations and system availability
• Participation in IT projects in close cooperation with the specialist departments and external partners
• Support and advice to the specialist departments on IT issues
• 2nd and 3rd level support for our employees
• Documentation and optimization of IT processes
• On-call duty

• Completed training or studies in computer science or comparable qualification
• Solid knowledge of Windows.
• Knowledge of Linux is an advantage
• High sensitivity to IT security
• Experience with Exchange
• Experience with MDM (mobile device management) is an advantage
• Experience with virtualization, backup, and network technologies
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Teamwork skills, strong communication, and high service orientation
• Driver's license category B
