The Department of Fundamental Neurosciences of the University of Lausanne invites applications for a Postdoc position in the research group of Prof. Hiroshi Ito. The Ito lab investigates the neural circuit mechanism for navigational planning and decision making. Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will investigate the neural circuit mechanisms underlying goal-directed spatial navigation in rats. The project will employ multidisciplinary approaches including high-density multichannel recordings, pharmacogenetic and optogenetic manipulations, behavioral analyses, machine learning, and computational modeling.
Your qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual with the following qualifications:
• Strong background in systems neuroscience
• Experience in electrophysiological recording or imaging of neural activity
• Experience in behavioral neuroscience experiments
• Authorization for animal experimentation is highly desirable
• Enthusiastic and collaborative mindset, with an interest in working in a highly interactive research environment
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
