The Life Sciences Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific currently has a vacancy for a Senior Business Manager (m/f/d) for Human Predictive Genomics and Clinical Micro Array in our Technical Sales Vertical Division. This role uniquely positions you to contribute to our world-class reputation and mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer by driving our innovative solutions in Central.
Territory: Germany, Switzerland, Austria and V4
Location: In the territory/remote
Language requirements: English mandatory, German of advantage and other local languages are appreciated.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve ambitious business growth targets in Central.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts and opinion leaders to successfully implement our advanced product offerings.
- Strong Sales Skills Required : territory planning, funnel management, forecast accuracy (revenue and demand), prioritization skills. Understanding of success metrics and how metrics are measured for regional commercial team and business unit
- Deliver compelling presentations that highlight our capabilities and value proposition with proven communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborate strictly with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and other business units, to optimize customer value creation.
- Ability to identify prospective opportunities in Human Predictive Genomic, Pre-natal, Post-natal and Oncology areas. Proven experience in conducting business in local terms and via channel partners. Driving compliance in accordance with company procedures, business needs and all applicable local and international regulations. Cultural awareness about local dynamics and behaviors.
- Research and identify new market opportunities to drive business expansion and determine competitive positioning.
- Ability to work in a matrix and very disperse region: extensive travel, optimally network inside and outside Company’s organization, influencing skills, ability to align regional and business strategies, effectively conflict management
- Teamwork with others, look for alliances across businesses, encourage team spirit across organization, deal with complex logistics, adapt and act quickly.
- Coordinate key projects and ensure compliance with all applicable local and international regulations.
Qualifications
- Masters or equivalent experience in Life Sciences; PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
- Solid background in Genetics.
- Microarray Business Understanding , workflow and applications.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in life sciences, with proven success in handling complex deals and projects.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Outstanding grasp of success metrics and territory planning.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work in a matrix organization.
