Certified nurse for the Emergency Department
The Emergency Department of the Lausanne University Hospital is looking for a certified nurse with a workload between 80% and 100% to complete its team. The starting date is scheduled for June 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Emergency Department ensures reception, triage, orientation, and provides emergency and resuscitation care for adult and pediatric patients. As a reference hospital for the canton and its neighboring area, its mission is to ensure medical, surgical, psychiatric, and/or medico-social evaluation of patients for immediate treatment and secondary orientation (towards CHUV services, other care structures, or home).
Mission
- You welcome and guide patients presenting to the emergency department
- You provide nursing care for surgical and medical emergencies for adults and children
- You participate in advanced resuscitation measures
- You contribute to the supervision of students
Profile
- You have at least one year of experience in acute somatic care (an asset)
- You hold a practice authorization in the Canton of Vaud or have submitted an application to the Vaud Public Health Service
- You demonstrate the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- You possess good interpersonal, adaptability, analytical, and stress management skills
- You show dynamism, speed, anticipation, precision, autonomy, and loyalty
- You have a strong interest in pursuing post-graduate training in emergency care.
Depending on your profile, the job description may be adapted and the salary scale will be between levels 8 and 9.
