ALM Manager
Within the financial management and under the responsibility of the Group Treasurer, the ALM manager is responsible for developing and implementing ALM strategies with a view to optimizing the Group's interest margin and managing structural risks. He/she must have solid knowledge in portfolio management, financial modeling, and risk analysis.
YOUR ROLE:
Strategic liquidity management and balance sheet steering
- Measure, monitor, and proactively manage short, medium, and long-term liquidity needs, ensuring the structural balance of the balance sheet and compliance with regulatory requirements (LCR, NSFR, internal ratios).
- Develop and implement an integrated liquidity strategy: financing planning, reserve management, refinancing cost optimization.
- Identify, model, and quantify structural and cyclical liquidity risks, integrating stress scenarios and macroeconomic sensitivity analyses.
- Design and present balance sheet evolution simulations based on economic, monetary, and interest rate policy trends.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of the FTP system, ensuring efficient allocation of liquidity costs and risk-adjusted profitability by activity.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of ALM stress-testing models (ILAAP), in collaboration with Risk and Compliance teams.
Interest rate risk and HQLA portfolio management
- Supervise the analysis and management of structural interest rate risks (IRRBB), developing appropriate hedging strategies.
- Manage the allocation and optimization of the HQLA portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance and maximizing risk-adjusted returns.
- Use statistical modeling and simulation results to guide strategic decisions regarding investment, hedging, and balance sheet structure.
Cross-functional collaboration and governance
- Work closely with Treasury, Trading, Accounting, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure overall coherence of the ALM strategy.
- Provide analytical support and technical advice to business lines on valuation, liquidity, internal pricing, and strategic investment issues.
- Actively participate in the Group's financial governance: preparation of ALCO committees, internal communication on balance sheet performance, recommendations for corrective measures.
- Supervise and develop a team of ALM analysts, ensuring their skills development and dissemination of best balance sheet risk management practices.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Advanced degree (engineering school, business school, university) with specialization in quantitative finance, financial economics, applied mathematics, or financial engineering.
- Proven experience (>7 years) in an international banking environment, ideally in private banking or wealth management.
- Proven experience in team management and cross-functional management of strategic projects.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets, hedging instruments (interest rates, foreign exchange, bonds), and ALM risk measurement tools.
- Excellent knowledge of statistical and quantitative models applied to ALM (behavioral modeling, gap analyses, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/VBA) and familiarity with querying and automation tools (SQL, Python, Tableau).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English; knowledge of German is an asset.
- Analytical mindset, methodological rigor, strategic sense, and ability to influence high-level decisions.
- Residence in Switzerland.
