About the job
With its specialists, the criminal police deals with serious crime, supra-regional offenses, and new phenomena in the field of crime. Thanks to its technical and specialized expertise - from the crime scene to data management and investigations in complex fraudulent structures - it clarifies offenses or contributes as a service provider to the success of the police.
Your tasks
- Participation in the establishment and development of the "Telecommunications Surveillance Competence Center" as a scientific collaborator. If interested and suitable for the role, possibility to later assume the position of deputy head of the specialized area
- Tasks as operator and engagement management advisor, both in daily work and in large-scale and/or exceptional situations
- Evaluation, commissioning, maintenance, and development of technical devices
- Provision of services to investigation units, execution of route measures, training of collaborators, and advising colleagues in various areas of criminal police work
- Representation of the Competence Center within national and international working groups and at specialized conferences
Your profile
- Higher education degree in electrical engineering/telecommunications, or several years of experience in the mobile telephony field
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications, strong interest in this field, and willingness to acquire new knowledge
- Experience in criminal police and/or public procurement, especially purchasing complex technical devices, is an advantage
- Analytical reasoning skills, stress resistance, high ability to manage complex intervention situations
- Willingness to perform missions outside office hours, including on-call duty (category B driving license required)
