The Kantonsschule Küsnacht is a well-established high school in the region with cultural influence. The school program includes a musical and modern language Matura profile with a lower secondary level. In both profiles, a bilingual Matura course in German/English can be taken. The school has around 600 students, about 120 teachers, and 16 staff members in administration and operations. Manageable conditions, good infrastructure, and a school campus in a prime location in the center of Küsnacht shape the familiar school atmosphere.
From April 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a School Social Worker (25%).
Your tasks
As a school social worker, you advise our high school students on personal, social, and school-related challenges. You promote their integration into the class and support the school team in recognizing psychosocial problems and initiating early interventions. You complement the existing school social work services at our school and contribute to a professionally sound and needs-based counseling and support offer.
Your profile
You are a committed individual with professional experience in school social work or counseling experience in the youth sector. You enjoy working with young people and, thanks to your affinity for psychosocial topics, you have a great understanding of the concerns of young people. With your solution-oriented systemic approach, you can mediate well between different concerns. You have an independent, structured, and reflective way of working and look forward to working in a team. Your communication skills, teamwork, and resilience benefit you both in dealing with various stakeholders and in managing crises.
A formal requirement for application is a bachelor's degree in social work, combined with further training in school social work (CAS) or a comparable field (CAS).
