As a Credit Officer at our location in Bendern (FL) or Zurich (CH), you take on a key role in the lending business: You analyze, assess, and approve complex loan applications in accordance with our risk framework and applicable regulatory requirements. You significantly drive the further development of credit processes and policies. Together with internal stakeholders, you ensure the highest quality standards and thus make a direct contribution to the healthy, strategic growth of our lending business.
Your tasks:
Review and assessment of complex loan applications, especially mortgages and international Lombard as well as structured loans, taking into account internal guidelines, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements
Independent decision-making on loan approvals within the defined competence framework and preparation of convincing decision bases for senior management – including tailored conditions and individual terms
Active participation and continuous optimization of credit policies in a dynamic environment
Ensuring that all credit decisions always comply with regulatory requirements and the risk appetite of our bank
Promoting a uniform and professional implementation of new or adjusted guidelines in all relevant units
Technical sparring partner for credit advisors and other internal teams on complex credit structures and risk issues as well as central contact person for credit-related questions
Trustful cooperation with internal and external auditors as well as other interfaces domestically and abroad
Committed participation in projects to optimize credit processes and expand the lending business – including identification of innovation and efficiency potentials and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals
For this exciting position, we are looking for a responsible personality with the following profile:
Completed university degree in banking and finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced qualifications in credit management or risk analysis ideally complement your profile
Several years of relevant experience (at least 7 years) in international lending business, especially related to private banking, as well as a deep understanding of credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks in global markets
Proven strength in analyzing, structuring, and risk-conscious assessment of complex credit transactions and experience in further developing credit processes and strategic credit initiatives
Confident handling of core banking systems such as Avaloq and other modern credit management tools
Strong analytical skills, a high numerical understanding, and confidence in interpreting financial data
Very good user knowledge of the MS Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Confident, target-group-oriented communication skills in German and English – both written and spoken
Enjoy bringing in your broad expertise, mastering complex cases and new regulatory requirements confidently, and actively sharing knowledge as a know-how carrier as well as driving process improvements
