Portrait of the School/Institution
The Special Education School Lyss is a day school for children and adolescents with intellectual or multiple disabilities. We teach around 115 students in 18 classes (from primary to upper and orientation levels) aged between 4 and 18 years.
For our lower level, we are looking for a position starting August 1, 2026

Tasks
You will conduct lessons at a lower level (Cycle 1) as a class teacher
You will work in a heterogeneous class and support the students individually according to LP 21
Organize parent contacts and conduct meetings for support planning
Network in the support process with therapists and other professional bodies
You will be in close contact with the job partner, the upper level team, and the school management
Supervise and accompany an intern in the class
Requirements
Diploma in school special education (or in training for it) or secondary school teacher with professional experience in the special education field
Enjoyment of the challenges of everyday school life
High teamwork skills and willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration
Participation in school development days as well as monthly team meetings on different weekdays (online participation possible)
Participation in two class camps per school year
