Due to a temporary replacement, we are looking for a technically strong and motivated Risk Manager for approx. 10 months.

As part of the Risk Management organization and the Second Line of Defense, you will play a key role in developing, enhancing financial risk management frameworks and reporting. Working closely with internal stakeholders and regulators, the role focuses on efficient, data‑driven oversight of credit, market, and liquidity risks, contributing to the stability and resilience of SIX and the Swiss financial market infrastructure.
What You Will Do
- Preparation of ad hoc analyses, presentations of results for the decision-making bodies and supervisory authorities as well as leading smaller projects in the area of the financial risk management and in cooperation with the first line of defense (risk management operations, treasury, etc.)
- Own and further develop financial risk monitoring processes and reporting across credit, market, and liquidity risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and best market practices
- Design, enhance, and automate risk management concepts, processes, and dashboards using data-driven and scalable solutions (e.g., VBA, SQL, Power BI, AI-based approaches)
- Conduct ongoing oversight of the counterparty portfolio across all business units, including analysis, monitoring, and timely escalation in stress situations
- Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations for decision-making bodies and supervisory authorities
- Collaborate closely with risk, finance, treasury, and business teams, and lead smaller initiatives within financial risk management in coordination with the first line of defense
What You Bring
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree in Finance is an advantage
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in financial risk management or a closely related area
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset, proactivity, and high attention to quality and detail
- Solid understanding of credit, market, and liquidity risks, with strong technical skills and a clear focus on automation and data‑driven solutions (e.g., SQL, VBA, Power BI, AI)
- Friendly, reliable, proactive and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills; very good English (written and spoken)
