- NECO41
- The NECO's mission is to promote the development of the economic fabric, to participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the economic, tourism, and regional strategy of the canton of Neuchâtel, as well as to lead various actions aimed at strengthening the influence of the Neuchâtel economic area and enhancing its interests. In an already critical economic context, notably marked by the introduction of American customs duties, the State Council has launched an action plan to support companies affected by the crisis, through aid for technology transfer, R&D, export, and diversification. Within this framework, NECO is strengthening its staff to ensure the reactivity, coherence, and visibility of the cantonal response to this crisis.
As part of your duties, you contribute to the operational coordination of the cantonal system and ensure the monitoring of actions carried out with various partners. You assist business partners in their missions, particularly when it comes to supporting the diversification of economic activities. Through your actions, you play a key role in the development of the local industrial fabric, in its capacity for resilience, innovation, and diversification. In contact with companies, you analyze and process support requests as well as development, innovation, or establishment projects, evaluate their admissibility, and propose suitable solutions, consistent with the strategic objectives of the canton. You support project-bearing companies and facilitate connections with economic and academic actors. You lead or coordinate multidisciplinary strategic projects and may be called upon to represent NECO in various bodies. Finally, you contribute to the internal coordination of the service by actively participating in the smooth running and success of projects.
Holder of a master's degree or an equivalent qualification in a technical field, you have at least 4 years of confirmed managerial experience within an industrial company. Comfortable managing complex and multidisciplinary projects, you have an excellent understanding of the regional economic fabric as well as economic development tools. You know how to create and maintain a network, foster collaborations, and analyze companies' needs with precision and discernment. Discretion, integrity, rigor, and reliability characterize your work. Thanks to your professionalism and diplomacy, you know how to interact with diverse interlocutors while representing the canton with credibility. In parallel, you communicate in French and English, but also have a good understanding of German. Some flexibility in working hours as well as travel within Switzerland and occasionally abroad are expected.
