Overview
You will be responsible for maintaining the foreign trade-related information of our business units in Switzerland and various SKAN plants. You will act as process owner and expert in the area of free trade agreements and rules of origin on a global level and support various business units.
Responsibilities
- Classification of goods according to customs tariffs (HS/Tares)
- Performing preference calculations and checking rules of origin
- Obtaining, checking, and managing end-use declarations
- Performing sanctions and embargo screenings in accordance with applicable regulations
- Ensuring compliance with export control regulations, especially when dealing with dual-use goods
- Supporting the correct preparation of export documents and proofs of origin
- Maintaining and managing relevant master data in the SAP system
- Collaborating with internal departments (purchasing, sales, logistics) as well as external authorities and partners
- Supporting internal audits and compliance checks in the area of foreign trade
Hardskills
- Completed commercial training, ideally with further training in foreign trade, customs, or export control
- Several years of professional experience in international trade, customs, or export control
- In-depth knowledge of tariff classification, preferential law, and export control
- Experience in dealing with dual-use goods as well as sanctions and embargo regulations
- Very good German skills and good written and spoken English skills
- Analytical, structured, and meticulous approach to work
