Location/Division Specific Information:
The state-of-the-art multi-purpose manufacturing facility is crafted for large-scale production of biologics and has high expansion potential. After completion of construction activities, our site in Lengnau will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from development to large-scale production including stainless steel equipment to meet our customer needs.
How Will You Make an Impact?:
As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the materials required for production are available when needed. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely procurement of materials..
A Day in the Life:
·Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) systems to ensure timely procurement of materials.
·Monitor inventory levels and perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
·Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and logistics departments to ensure smooth material flow.
·Analyze production schedules and forecasts to determine material requirements.
·Manage and update material planning parameters, such as lead times, safety stock levels, and reorder points.
·Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material planning efficiency.
·Prepare and present reports on material status and inventory levels.
·Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to material planning and inventory management.
·Address and resolve any material shortages or delays that may impact production schedules in collaboration with purchasing
Education:
·Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
·Proven experience as a Material Planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
·Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP S/4 Hana.
- Expertise in other enterprise business systems and business software (Trackwise, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
